You can learn new things at any time in your life if you're willing to be a beginner. If you actually learn to like being a beginner, the whole world opens up to you.

Jesus took a child, whom he put among them, ³and said, ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. ⁴Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. ⁵

There is a huge irony that we spend our lives growing up only to learn that we have to reverse the process--and become like trusting children of God--without the illusion of a life's work to say that we are independent!
